Just experimenting with my first post here. An entry pulled from my LiveJournal. :)
Back in January, I mentioned that I can be a bit of a completist. Not all the time mind you, I can also be a bit inconsistent, a procrastinator and mildly attention deficit; but eventually I get most, or some...things done.
My Europe trip from June last year is one of them, so I’m still posting my highlighted photo diary of the trip. Am determined to finish it!
La Grange Aux Fleurs is a restaurant which Amelia recommended to M and I on the night she wouldn’t be cooking one her delicious meals whilst we were staying at her and Aaron's Bed & Breakfast, La Fromental.
We’d driven to the restaurant earlier that day to make a booking and had found it easily enough. To get there in the evening though, M took a 'shortcut' down a gorgeously scenic, albeit, very, very, very long and winding road. We ending up getting, or so we thought, hopelessly lost. It felt like we'd been driving for a long, long time (but probably hadn't been) when we ended up in this tiny Twilight Zone village. I say Twilight Zone because we saw absolutely no one walking about (it was only about 6.30pm) until we spotted a man with his mini tractor.
M asked him for directions and after a scary moment where he just looked at us blankly, told us that we the restaurant was literally around the corner! And it was. We were much relieved. M did know where he was going...I had faith, honest! :P
The surroundings were just beautiful, the people friendly, and the food was really delish. Add to that a warm, sunny evening with a soft, gentle breeze, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
